Tax laws have a major impact on the business of real estate. REALTORS® are impacted every year by taxes, and both agents and their clients will benefit from an understanding of tax implications. In this course, participants will learn about the qualified business income deduction, write offs (cars, SUV’s, entertainment expenses), how to maximize contributions to retirement plans, tax savings from S Corporation status, and how tax changes have impacted homeowners, commercial real estate investors and residential real estate investors.

This course is not eligible for continuing education requirements necessary for obtaining and/or maintaining a Real Estate License in Kansas or Missouri.

Chris Bird has been in the financial business for over 30 years. He started his career with a degree in Accounting and was a Senior IRS agent for 16 years. He was an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois in tax law for 20 years.

He is a Senior CRS and instructor and a Senior Faculty Instructor for the REALTORS® Land Institute.
